Justin Meyer is a Lecturer in the Department of Classics at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the same institution, awarded in Spring 2023. His research focuses on classical reception in the German Renaissance, particularly how Graeco-Roman knowledge shaped German patriotic identity. Current projects include a translation of a scholarly monograph on papal speeches in the Middle Ages and studies on the use of Roman geography to construct German nationalism.
