Justin Hanson

Justin Hanson serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice, Investigations Program at the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, University of New Haven, teaching graduate-level courses for over five years.

His educational background includes:

Professor Hanson's research focuses on criminal investigations, specializing in financial crimes and anti-money laundering. His 22-year career as a Senior Special Agent with the United States Secret Service directly shapes his academic work, particularly through supervision of the Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force (CTFCTF). His expertise extends to protective services for presidents, vice presidents, and foreign dignitaries, including a 4.5-year assignment on Former President William Clinton's detail.

He actively leads the Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force (CTFCTF), a multi-agency collaboration between federal, state, and local law enforcement targeting financial criminals affecting Connecticut residents.
