Justin Beilby is the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research at Torrens University Australia. Previously, he served as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Adelaide, overseeing undergraduate programs in medicine, nursing, dentistry, and public health. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and PhD from the University of Adelaide, alongside a Master in Public Health and a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery.
His research focuses on Indigenous health, workforce planning, primary care financing, chronic illness, and frailty in aged care. He leads projects like the IMPAACT Framework, aiming to improve older Australians' participation in health policy decisions. Current initiatives include studying seasonality’s impact on cardiovascular disease and frailty assessment tools.
Key areas of expertise include primary medical care, chronic disease management, and health policy reform. He has contributed to national health policy through roles in the NHMRC and the National Hospital and Health Reform Commission.
