June Rubis

June Rubis (Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo / Unceded Gadigal Territories) is a former conservation biologist with 12 years of fieldwork experience in Indonesian and Malaysian Borneo. She specializes in decolonial Indigenous approaches to conservation, particularly orangutan habitat protection in Sarawak through Bidayuh ritual revitalization guided by her late Bidayuh father and relatives.
