Jun Wang

Jun Wang is a PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield's School of Information, Journalism and Communication. His research focuses on understanding information needs in person-centred care for age-related diseases and multimorbidity, with a specific emphasis on chronic kidney disease. He holds degrees from the University of Vienna, Warwick Business School, and the University of Birmingham.

Before commencing his PhD, Wang worked in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in business development for in vitro/in vivo testing, toxicity, immunotoxicity, and drug marketing. He also spent several years in Germany and earned the BCMAS certification in 2022, a rigorous credential in medical affairs.

Research Interests: His work bridges healthcare informatics and patient care, addressing challenges in managing complex health conditions like chronic kidney disease. He explores how information systems can better support personalized, holistic care for aging populations with multiple chronic illnesses.
