Jun Li is an Associate Professor at the School of Data Science and Society (SDSS). Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. His research focuses on cancer bioinformatics, functional genomics, proteomics, and AI-driven precision oncology. He has developed widely used bioinformatics platforms such as TCPA, MCLP, SurvNet, TANRIC, FASMIC, and DrBioRight, which have been utilized by over 200,000 users globally.
Dr. Li’s work emphasizes integrating multi-omics and clinical data to uncover cancer mechanisms and improve therapeutic strategies. His publications span over 70 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals like Cancer Cell, Nature Methods, and Nature Communications, with 12 first-author papers. His research aims to leverage data science to revolutionize precision cancer therapy.
Key areas of focus include clinical target co-segmentation, CBCT image enhancement, and AI-powered radiotherapy planning. He is currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows to advance translational oncology through data-driven methodologies.
