Juliet Simpson is a Full Professor of Art History at Coventry University, holding the Chair in Arts and Cultural Memory and serving as Research Director of the Centre for Arts, Memory, and Communities. She is a leading international specialist in interdisciplinary art research, focusing on intersections between historical art practices and contemporary cultural discourse.
- Research Interests: Explores complex relationships between art and its audiences, uncanny modernities, nationhood and transnational identities, medieval influences in modern/contemporary art, haunted urban environments, emotional objects, and cultural capitals.
- Collaborations: Works with major museums and galleries globally, including roles as guest curator for the Gothic Modern - Munch to Kollwitz exhibition (2024–26) across Helsinki, Oslo, and Vienna.
