Julien Ramousse

Julien Ramousse serves as a Senior Lecturer (HDR) at Polytech Annecy Chambéry, Université Savoie Mont Blanc, and is a core member of LOCIE (Laboratory of Solar Energy and Building Physics). His institutional roles include:

• Scientific Lead for the SITE theme (Systems and buildings integrated into city and territories)
• Head of the 'Solar resources for multi-scale energy needs' hub at EUR Solar Academy
• Pilot of the decarbonization axis for the CITEE Chair
• Member of Doctoral School Council SIE and CODUSMB

His research integrates thermodynamics with practical energy solutions, focusing on solar energy deployment across building-to-urban scales. He investigates decarbonization pathways, hydrogen technologies, and energy management systems for built environments, addressing both technical efficiency and territorial integration challenges. His work bridges fundamental thermodynamics with applied renewable energy conversion.

As an educator, Ramousse teaches advanced Thermodynamics, H2/fuel cell systems, and Combustion engineering while supervising student projects. His HDR qualification certifies his capacity to lead doctoral research. The EUR Solar Academy hub he directs develops frameworks for matching solar resources to multi-scale energy demands in urban contexts.

Through LOCIE and the CITEE Chair, he contributes to France's energy transition research landscape, with emphasis on practical implementation of renewable energy systems in building infrastructure and urban territories. His leadership positions reflect active engagement in shaping energy research policy and doctoral training programs.
