Julie Steed

Julie Steed serves as an Instructor in the Department of General Education at University College, University of West Georgia. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of West Georgia (1994) and an M.S. in Technical and Professional Communication from Southern College of Technology (1997). Her teaching focuses on English composition courses (ENGL-0999, ENGL-1101, ENGL-1102) and interdisciplinary studies (XIDS-2002), emphasizing themes like activism, identity, and goal achievement. She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Her instruction spans multiple semesters, including recent terms from Fall 2023 to Spring 2025, with courses delivered both in-person and online. Office hours are held in TLC 1113G on Tuesdays 12:30-1:45 PM, with additional availability by appointment for online students.
