Julie Mayberry

Julie Mayberry is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at North Carolina State University since Spring 1998. She teaches courses in Interpersonal Communication, Gender Communication, Small Group Communication, and Nonverbal Communication. Her expertise lies in Interpersonal Communication, Gender Communication, and Performance Studies.

Education:

• B.A. in Sociology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1991)
• M.A. in Communication Studies, University of North Carolina (1993)

Professional Affiliations: Adjunct faculty member at Meredith College’s Communication Department. Previously taught at UNC-Chapel Hill and Peace College.

Her research interests focus on the intersection of performance and interpersonal communication, gender dynamics in communication, and applied communication theories.
