Julie Feldman

Julie Feldman serves as Professor of Practice in the Department of Psychology at the University of Arizona, where she directs the Life Skills Training and Enhancement Program (LifeSTEP) for undergraduates and coordinates the Clinical Psychology externship program. In the Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC), she teaches psychotherapy to clinical psychology PhD students while acting as consultant and backup supervisor for clinical cases.

Her clinical expertise centers on Anxiety and Depression interventions for underrepresented youth, with research interests spanning behavioral health, developmental psychopathology, and life skills enhancement. Key contributions include:

• Development of LifeSTEP's mentorship framework for students with behavioral health concerns
• Integration of psychotherapy training within clinical externship programs
• Cross-disciplinary teaching connecting developmental psychology with clinical practice

Dr. Feldman actively supervises clinical psychology PhD students in the BHC and leads program development for undergraduate behavioral health initiatives. Her work establishes critical pathways between academic training and community mental health services for vulnerable student populations.
