Julie Ely

Julie Ely is a Professor and Chair of the Creative Arts Department at Southwestern Christian University. She was hired in 1998 and again in 2021. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor of Music Education, a Master of Music, and she is currently pursuing a Master in Addictions Counseling. Ely is affiliated with OKMEA and NAFME professional organizations.

Her research focuses on Addictions, Children with Special Needs, and Worship Studies. She teaches courses in Theory, Music History, Worship Studies, Voice, and Piano.
