Julie Clark is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean in Learning and Teaching at the School of Education, Flinders University, within the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work. She specializes in mathematics education and has over 30 years of experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. Her research focuses on effective teaching methods, rural education equity, technology integration, and preservice teacher education. She has held leadership roles, including Vice President (Communications) for the Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA).
Her research interests include mathematics pedagogy, beliefs and attitudes in education, and educational reform. Recent work emphasizes gifted adolescent career development and assessment strategies in Pacific Island contexts. She has secured grants, including a University Teaching and Innovation grant and contributions to an ALTC (OLT) project.
