Julie Auger is a Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Translation within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Montreal. She specializes in sociolinguistic variation, French in Quebec and North America, language and gender, and Picard dialects in the Vimeu region.

Her research focuses on spontaneous linguistic data from Quebec French and Picard dialects in France. Her work bridges theoretical linguistics with real-world language use.
