Julie Allison

Dr. Julie Allison is a Professor in the Psychology and Counseling department at Pittsburg State University's College of Education. She teaches courses such as General Psychology, Psychology as a Profession, and Social Psychology. Her responsibilities include mentoring Psychology majors, overseeing the Psychology and Legal Issues emphasis, and coordinating the Psychology and the Military emphasis. Dr. Allison holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Social Psychology from the University of Kansas.

Her research interests focus on Psychology and Law, Interpersonal Violence, and Death and Dying, reflecting her expertise in applying psychological principles to legal contexts and clinical settings. She maintains an active role in curriculum development and academic advising within the department.
