Julian Yates

Julian Yates is a Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology at The University of Manchester and an Honorary Consultant at Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust. He holds degrees from the University of Glasgow (BDS) and University of Sheffield (PhD), with postgraduate clinical qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow and London.

• Research focuses on trigeminal nerve repair, CAD/CAM prosthetics, and dental implantology
• Clinical expertise in facial trauma, implantology, and soft tissue augmentation

Grants & Supervision: Supervised 8 PhD and over 25 MSc students. Current projects include the AMFaces initiative (2023–2028) for advanced facial prosthetics.
