Dr. Julia Wolska is a Lecturer in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University and a member of the Institute of Children's Futures. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Birmingham (2020) and a PGCert in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from MMU (2021). Her academic service includes roles on ED&I committees and as a Psych Chatter facilitator at MMU.

Julia's research focuses on developmental psychology, particularly socio-cognitive development, cultural and socioeconomic influences, intergenerational trauma, and child mental health. She also investigates ED&I topics (socioeconomic status, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergence), conspiracy theories, and quantitative/qualitative research methods. Her recent publications explore replicability in psychology, reaction time data transparency, and open scholarship frameworks.
Her scientific awards include the Experimental Psychology Society Research Scholarship and University of Birmingham Student Development Scholarship (both 2017). She supervises undergraduate and MSc dissertations and contributes to ED&I initiatives via newsletters and committee work.
