Prof. Dr. Julia Schnabel is the TUM Liesel Beckmann Distinguished Professor and Helmholtz Distinguished Professor at TUM's TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. Her research focuses on computational imaging and AI in medicine, including medical image processing, machine learning, motion modeling, and quantitative imaging. She holds IEEE, Ellis, and MICCAI Society fellowships, and has pioneered work in image reconstruction, artifact correction, and AI-based diagnostics.
