Julia R. Koehler

Dr. Julia R. Koehler is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and serves as a Senior Associate Physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children's Hospital. Her research focuses on fungal pathogenesis, particularly the molecular mechanisms of Candida albicans virulence and adaptation.

Dr. Koehler received her medical degree from Heidelberg University in Germany in 1985, completed her pediatric residency at Boston Children's Hospital in 1993, and finished her fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the same institution in 1998. She conducted postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Dr. Gerald Fink at the Whitehead Institute.
