Julia Marty

Julia Marty is a Lecturer and Sports Instructor at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), specializing in Sports Science and Health Promotion. A former elite ice hockey player, she represented Switzerland in the 2014 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal, and played professionally in the U.S. and Sweden. She holds a background in neuroscience and human movement, with prior work at Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich.

At HSG, she oversees UniSport’s sports programs, offering 300 weekly sessions across 90 disciplines. Her initiatives include the HSG Health Days (2020), addressing stress management through interdisciplinary collaboration. She currently plays defender for SC Bern’s women’s team and mentors younger athletes, emphasizing teamwork and resilience.

Awards include Olympic and Swedish Championship accolades, alongside decade-long participation in World Championships. Her expertise bridges sport science, injury rehabilitation, and community health, reflecting her dual career in academia and professional sports.
