Julia Bloch is Professor and Director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in Political Philosophy from Carleton College, an MFA in Poetry from Mills College, and an MA/PhD in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania. Her work bridges academic scholarship and creative practice with editorial leadership at Jacket2 journal.

- Intersections of race, gender, and sexuality in literary forms
- Hybrid genres blending lyric, essay, and archival materials
- Queer futurity and intergenerational trauma
