Julia Bandini

Julia Bandini is a behavioral and social scientist and Professor of Policy Analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy, affiliated with RAND Corporation. Her research focuses on end-of-life care, palliative care, telemedicine, patient safety, and healthcare workforce challenges, particularly among underserved populations. She utilizes qualitative and mixed-methods approaches.

Her work examines diagnostic safety, sexual harassment in the military, and the impact of telehealth on palliative care equity. She has led evaluations of programs addressing psychiatric advance directives, Medicare Advantage policies, and direct care worker retention.
