Jue Lu is a Lecturer in Chinese Language at Washington University in St. Louis's Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures. She earned her PhD in Chinese and Comparative Literature from Washington University. Her research focuses on modern Chinese literature, particularly autobiographical writings from late Qing and early Republican periods, language pedagogy, heritage cultural learning, and content-based curriculum development.
She has taught Chinese language courses at all levels (heritage and non-heritage tracks) and advanced content-based courses in literature, philosophy, and intellectual history at Princeton University and summer programs. Her pedagogical approach integrates research on self-writing and storytelling into curriculum design.
