About
Judith Packer is Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research bridges operator algebras, wavelet theory, and harmonic analysis, with recent focus on connections between wavelet/frame theory, operator algebras, and harmonic analysis.
Her work explores noncommutative solenoids, wavelet representations, and spectral triples in noncommutative geometry. Current projects investigate C*-algebras associated to higher-rank graphs, wavelet representations for transformation groups, and measure-theoretic properties of wavelet constructions.
Dr. Packer has organized conferences including the Great Plains Operator Theory Symposium (GPOTS) and teaches graduate courses in harmonic analysis and functional analysis. Her research contributes to mathematical foundations of signal processing and quantum physics.
