About
Judith Kleinheins is a researcher affiliated with the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. She is part of the Professorship for Experimental Atmospheric Physics, focusing on understanding the influence of organic substances on atmospheric aerosol particles and cloud formation processes. Her research explores topics such as co-condensation, surface tension lowering, organic acid dissociation, and liquid-liquid phase separation. These studies contribute to the ORACLE project, a Swiss-French collaborative effort investigating aerosol-cloud interactions.
Her work bridges physical chemistry and environmental science, with publications in journals like Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics and Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics. Key areas of investigation include surface tension modeling in complex solutions and hygroscopic growth dynamics of aerosols. She is based at ETH Zurich’s Universitätstrasse 16 campus and can be reached at judith.kleinheins@env.ethz.ch.
