About
Judith Irwin is a Professor at Queen's University studying the interstellar medium (ISM) in galaxies, particularly gas/dust dynamics between galactic disks and halos. Her work uses international radio telescopes (VLA, GMRT, JCMT) and space observatories (ISO, XMM-Newton) to analyze outflows and halo formation mechanisms.
She authored key textbooks on astrophysics and established the Chickadee Ridge Observatory. Her research focuses on physical parameterization of extragalactic features and their cosmological implications.
