About
Judith Golda is an Assistant Professor and head of the Plasma Interface Physics Group at Ruhr University Bochum. Her research focuses on experimental plasma physics, particularly non-equilibrium phenomena at interfaces between plasmas and solids, liquids, or gases, aiming to develop sustainable and green technologies.
- PhD in Physics (2018), Ruhr University Bochum
- Master of Science in Physics (2012-2013), Ruhr University Bochum
- Study Abroad (2011-2012), École Polytechnique, France
- Bachelor of Science in Physics (2008-2011), Ruhr University Bochum
Her research investigates charge effects in surface discharges, plasma-surface interactions under laser radiation, and plasma applications in biocatalysis and medicine. She emphasizes modeling non-equilibrium processes to replace empirical methods with physical theories, using diagnostics and simulations.
Golda teaches foundational physics courses for biology students and offers advanced seminars on plasma physics. Her group's work targets sustainable technologies, including CO2-neutral fuel production and medical innovations.
