Key contributions include analyses of Gambian migration governance, EU-African policy challenges, and the political economy of migration. Her methodological approach integrates practice theory with empirical fieldwork in West Africa.
Currently affiliated with IMIS and involved in the Collaborative Research Center 'Production of Migration', she contributes to projects under the DeZIM Research Association and participates in networks like IMISCOE. Judith actively collaborates with institutions such as the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute (ABI).
