Jude Stevenson

Dr Jude Stevenson is a Lecturer at the University of Glasgow's School of Psychology & Neuroscience. Her research focuses on mental health and well-being, with a primary emphasis on trichotillomania, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and compulsive behaviors. She holds a PhD investigating stigmatizing attitudes and attentional biases in trichotillomania and is a board member of BFRB UK and Ireland. Her work bridges clinical psychology with educational practices, as evidenced by her studies on student feedback mechanisms.

Research Interests: Jude’s research spans mental health stigma, perfectionism in psychological disorders, and the development of clinical assessment tools for BFRBs. She also explores digital health interventions via social media peer support groups for OCD and related disorders.

Publications highlight her contributions to qualitative research on trichotillomania, assessment instrument design, and the impact of written feedback on students’ emotional responses. These studies reflect her dual focus on clinical psychology and pedagogical innovation.
