About
Dr. Ju Zhu is a Research Associate in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, working within the Reaction Engineering and Catalytic Technology (REaCT) group. She leads research on the EPSRC-funded 'Manufacturing in Flow: Controlled Multiphase Reactions on Demand (CoMRaDe)' project, developing integrated continuous processes for pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries.
Her research focuses on multiphase reactor design, electrochemical oxidant generation, liquid-liquid interface reactions, and catalytic systems. Current work integrates electrochemical reactors for oxidant production, emulsification systems for reaction enhancement, and separation technologies.
Prior to Imperial, Zhu completed her Ph.D. at University of Birmingham (2014) on synthesis of biomass-supported precious metal nanoparticles for catalytic applications. She holds memberships in CSCST-UK and received multiple scholarships including the Dudley Docker Research Scholarship and Hufton Postgraduate Scholarship.
