Ju Liu

Dr. Ju Liu is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, China. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University from 2016 to 2020 and earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computational Mechanics from the University of Texas at Austin (2014, 2011), and a B.S. in Computational Mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University (2008).

Research Interests: Dr. Liu specializes in computational mechanics with a focus on fluid-structure interaction, biomechanics, and phase-field modeling. His work applies finite element methods and parallel computing to advance computational hemodynamics, enabling non-invasive diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Scientific Recognition: His research has received awards from multiple institutions, including the Elsevier Outstanding Reviewer Award and Duke University’s Robert J. Melosh Medal. He has also been invited to speak at Stanford’s fluid mechanics seminar.
