Joyce Garczynski is an Adjunct Lecturer and Assistant University Librarian for Development & Communications at Towson University’s Albert S. Cook Library. She teaches journalism students research methodologies, manages library fundraising, oversees a data studio, and directs communications. Her expertise spans Data Science, Library and Information Science, and Social Media strategies.

Her research focuses on integrating data visualization into library services and leveraging social networks for academic outreach. Joyce authored two books on library fundraising and was honored with the 2019 ACRL award for advancing educational librarianship. She previously worked at the Annenberg Public Policy Center as a Project Coordinator and Research Assistant.
