Joy Goodwin is a Professor of the Practice and Director of the Writing for Stage & Screen Minor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Wake Forest University and an M.P.P. in Education Policy from Harvard University. Her career spans live TV production at ABC, sports documentary writing/directing, theater criticism for prestigious outlets, and film development roles including Head of Feature Film Development at Plum Pictures. She has produced multiple Sundance films and exec-produced a Fox Searchlight feature.
