Joshua Weiss

Joshua Weiss serves as a Teaching Professor at Drexel University's Westphal College, holding dual leadership roles as Program Director for Visual Studies and Area Coordinator for Design Foundations. His academic focus centers on foundational design and drawing pedagogy across multiple core curriculum areas.

His educational credentials include:

• MFA from Yale University (2001)
• BFA from The Savannah College of Art and Design (1997)

Professor Weiss's artistic research investigates layered shapes, forms, and color interactions to construct complex surfaces and entropy-based abstract spaces. His practice spans two-dimensional and three-dimensional design, color theory, drawing, and temporal/spatial concepts, with exhibitions spanning regional and national venues. This work bridges academic instruction with contemporary studio practice through explorations of visual entropy and structural complexity.
