Dr. Joshua Partheepan is an Associate Professor of Systems Engineering at the College of Engineering, West Texas A&M University (WTAMU). He joined the faculty in 2017. His educational background includes a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India, a Master's in Power Plant Technologies from the University of Strathclyde, UK, and a Ph.D. in Agriculture and Systems from WTAMU. He teaches courses in mechanical, electrical, systems, and general engineering, including fundamentals of programming, combustion, industrial automation, control systems, renewable energy systems, and circuits.
His research focuses on hydrogen energy storage, renewable energy systems modeling, oxy-hydrogen combustion systems for steam generation, steam-injected gas turbines, and thermodynamic power cycle optimization. He has contributed to advancements in energy efficiency and sustainable technologies through his research initiatives.
Dr. Partheepan collaborates with interdisciplinary teams at the College of Engineering, including the Human-Machine Teaming Laboratory and ECORE Lab. He actively engages in academic service, curriculum development, and teaching innovation within the department.
