Joshua Jackson

Joshua Jackson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. He holds the Saul and Louise Rosenzweig Associate Professorship in Personality Science. Jackson earned his PhD from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a BS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

His research focuses on personality development and assessment, particularly the role of genetic and environmental factors—including educational experiences—in shaping personality change. He investigates how assessment methods (self-reports, observer-reports, behavioral/physiological measures) influence estimates of personality across the lifespan. Recent work explores peer-rated personality's predictive power for longevity and the interplay between personality traits and health outcomes.
