Joshua Guitar

Joshua Guitar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, Media and Journalism at Kean University. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication with a focus on Rhetoric from Wayne State University, along with M.A. and B.A. degrees in Communication from Wayne State University and Adrian College respectively.

His research focuses on political rhetoric, critical theory, rhetorical identity formation, democratic discourse, and whistleblowing dynamics. Teaching areas include persuasive communication, media theory, digital citizenship, gender/race in media, public speaking, intercultural communication, and critical approaches to new media.
