Joshua DeFilippo, Ed.D., ABSNP, is an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Department at The Chicago School's College of Professional Psychology, Chicago campus. He teaches in the Ed.S. and Psy.D. programs, drawing on over a decade of experience as a practicing school psychologist in public and charter schools. As an alumnus of The Chicago School, he earned his doctoral degree in School Psychology with an emphasis on school neuropsychology.
His research and consultation interests include trauma-informed approaches to students in crisis, data analytics in educational settings, and integrating neuropsychological assessments within Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). He is a diplomat of the American Board of School Neuropsychology and holds an Illinois Professional Educator License.
Dr. DeFilippo joined the core faculty in 2023 after serving as an adjunct professor since 2016, where he taught courses in statistics, psychometrics, educational and behavioral assessments, school-based interventions, and biological and cognitive bases of behavior.
