Joshua Bunting

Joshua Bunting is a Lecturer in Sociology at The University of Manchester. He completed his PhD thesis titled Activists in the Making: A Diachronic Analysis of the 2010-14 UK Student Movement in August 2024, supervised by Professors Nick Crossley and Gerry Edwards. His research focuses on social movements, student activism, and political sociology, with a specific emphasis on the dynamics of collective action and institutional change within the UK context. Bunting's work bridges theoretical frameworks in sociology with empirical analysis of contemporary social phenomena.
