Josh Snodgrass

Dr. Josh Snodgrass is a Professor and Department Head of Anthropology at the University of Oregon, with a focus on biological anthropology, global health, and human biology. He co-directs the Global Health Program and the Global Health Biomarker Laboratory, which develops minimally invasive biomarker techniques for population-based research. His research spans Amazonian Ecuador, Siberia, and urban U.S. contexts, addressing topics like health disparities, immune function, and aging. Snodgrass also serves as Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Research and Distinguished Scholarships, leading initiatives like the Center for Undergraduate Research and Engagement (CURE). He has authored over 100 publications in journals such as *The Lancet* and *PNAS*, and his work is supported by NIH, NSF, and WHO grants. Notable awards include AAAS Fellowship (2013) and Williams Fellow (2012).
