Josh Pyser

Josh Pyser serves as Senior Scientist at the Stack Family Center for Biopharmaceutical Education and Training (CBET), responsible for managing contract research projects and expanding services in biocatalysis, fermentation, and downstream processing.

His educational qualifications are:

• B.S. in Chemistry and Biomolecular Science from Clarkson University
• Ph.D. in Chemistry (Chemical Biology) from the University of Michigan

Dr. Pyser's research expertise centers on biocatalysis and organic synthesis, including the development of novel biocatalysts for organic synthesis, chemoenzymatic synthesis of fungal natural products, and purification/characterization of small molecules. His cross-disciplinary work bridges fermentation techniques and downstream processing within biopharmaceutical applications.

At CBET, he leverages extensive contract research experience to strengthen technical capabilities and scientific knowledge transfer in biopharmaceutical training.
