Josh Peterson is a Senior Vice President of Product and Innovation at Otter Products and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Business, Colorado State University, where he teaches in the MBA program. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University (2001) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado – Boulder.

Josh’s professional expertise spans over 25 years in corporate roles across consumer/B2B product development, marketing, innovation management, engineering, design, and sales. He is a servant leader known for motivating global, remote, and cross-functional teams to exceed business goals. His work at Otter Products over the last five years has focused on product strategy, innovation, and diversification into screen protection, power accessories, wearables, and mobile gaming. He also spearheaded strategic partnerships with Corning (Gorilla Glass) and PopSockets, significantly boosting Otter’s revenue.

Prior to Otter, Josh spent 17 years at HP leading groundbreaking product developments in workstations, contributing to HP’s #1 market share for over eight years. Before HP, he worked as a turbine controls engineer at Woodward Governor Company. At Otter and in the Colorado business community, he is a mentor who prioritizes empowering individuals alongside driving innovation.
