Josette M.P. Gevers is a Full Professor and co-chair of the Human Performance Management group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) within the Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences school. She holds a PhD and MSc in Social Psychology from the University of Tilburg, appointed Assistant Professor at TU/e in 2004 before advancing to Full Professor.
Her research investigates drivers of effective teamwork across project teams, action teams, science teams, sports teams, and human-robot collaborations. Dominant themes include:
- Impact of temporal demands on team creativity/adaptation
- Team self-regulation, cognition, and leadership
- Workplace interventions for performance optimization
Recent publications (2023-2025) focus on crisis team coordination, human-autonomy systems, and sustainable governance, utilizing computational modeling and real-time metrics.
Awards include:
- Academy of Management Leadership Award (2018)
- Best Paper Awards (2011, 2014, 2023)
She leads the NEON Program (since 2020) on multimodal systems, serves as Associate Editor for Small Group Research and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, and teaches courses on innovation leadership and team dynamics.
