Josephine Koster

Dr. Josephine Koster is the Margaret M. Bryant Professor of English at Winthrop University, where she specializes in medieval language and literature with additional expertise in digital humanities and social media applications in pedagogy. She holds a PhD from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and has received multiple teaching and research awards throughout her career.

Her scholarship focuses on women's literacy practices in late medieval England, material culture in Chaucer's works, and contemporary interpretations of The Book of Margery Kempe. She incorporates book arts into her teaching methodology and maintains active research in digital humanities approaches to literary studies.
