Joseph (Seppi) Lehner is a Courtesy Assistant Professor specializing in anthropological archaeology of early complex societies in the Near East. He holds a PhD from UCLA and has held fellowships at the University of Tübingen and Koç University.
His research explores early economies, trade, and technological development through archaeological fieldwork across multiple regions including Turkey, Egypt, and Oman. He co-directs the Kerkenes Project and Cape Gelidonya Metal Cargo Project.
