Joseph F. Cataliotti

Joseph F. Cataliotti serves as Associate Professor of Neuropsychology in the Department of Psychology within Ramapo College of New Jersey's School of Social Science and Human Services (SSHS), where he has been a faculty member since 2001.

Dr. Cataliotti holds both his B.A. and Ph.D. from Rutgers University, establishing his academic foundation in psychological sciences before joining Ramapo College. His educational background reflects a strong commitment to the discipline that has informed his 24-year teaching career.

His research focuses on the intersection of brain function and behavior, with particular emphasis on cognitive processes and their neurological underpinnings. This neuropsychological expertise contributes to SSHS's interdisciplinary approach to understanding human behavior through biological, psychological, and social frameworks. His work bridges clinical applications with theoretical neuroscience, supporting the department's mission to examine psychological phenomena from multiple scientific perspectives.

As a dedicated educator in the Psychology Program, Dr. Cataliotti maintains regular office hours (Monday and Thursday 11:30am-2:00pm) from his office in room G256, providing student mentorship and academic guidance. His long-standing presence in the department has contributed to curriculum development and program growth within SSHS.
