Joseph D. Foukona is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Previously, he served as a lecturer for ten years at the University of the South Pacific. His research focuses on Pacific legal systems, climate change displacement, and postcolonial governance, with expertise in Melanesian history and land tenure systems.
