Josep Lluís Oliver Torelló

Dr. Josep Lluís Oliver Torelló is a University Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Specific Didactics within the Faculty of Education at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). He has been actively involved in teaching and research since 1996 and has served as Dean of the Faculty of Education since 2010.

• Education: PhD in Social Pedagogy (2001) from UIB, with a dissertation titled 'El proceso de transición a la vida adulta de los jóvenes acogidos en centros de protección de menores'.

His research focuses on social pedagogy, child protection, educational systems, and parental competencies. He specializes in evaluation of social services, intervention in contexts of child vulnerability, formal education planning, and family dynamics.

Scientific Awards:

• Premio extraordinario de doctorado (PhD award) for his thesis on youth transition in child protection systems.

Teaching: He has taught courses such as Social Pedagogy, Community Social Pedagogy, Educational Theory, and final-year projects in Pedagogy and Social Education across undergraduate and master's programs (2020-2025).
