Josef Ackerman

Josef Ackerman is a Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph, affiliated with the College of Biological Science. His research focuses on physical ecology, limnology, and aquatic science, particularly studying unionid mussels, macrophytes, and hydrodynamic processes in lakes and rivers. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Physical Ecology and Aquatic Science.

Education:

• PhD in Biomechanics from Cornell University
