Jose Sanchez is an Associate Professor with a joint appointment in the multicollege Department of Design Tech at Cornell University and Cornell Tech. As an architect, game designer, and media artist, he directs the Plethora Project, a research studio focused on architectural design knowledge propagation, and co-created the award-winning interactive installation Bloom for the 2012 London Olympics.
His research examines participatory systems through digital platforms, combining architecture with game design to engage non-expert audiences. Key areas include:
